Middle of Nowhere – Sitcom Character Summary
Ranger Rusty Puckett – Rusty is a 30-year-old handsome, clean-cut forest ranger who likes to impress the ladies with his uniform. Rusty wears his heart on his sleeve and what he lacks in smarts, he makes up for in kindness.
Ranger Seth Wilkins – Seth, 30, is a grungy and unkempt forest ranger who married his high school sweetheart and is the proud father of 6 children. With grand dreams and no ambition, Seth raises laziness to an art form.
Dr. Maggie Brooks – Maggie, a 28-year-old ivy-league educated veterinarian, loves animals, sometimes more than people. She’s patient with the rangers, despite their constant need to get her attention with their mischievous antics.
Chip Munk – Chip, 15, dropped out of 8th grade following his parents creed that “All you need to know is in the Farmer’s Almanac.” He idolizes the rangers and often needs their assistance due to his penchant for getting stuck in odd places.
Carla Forchone – Carla, Rusty’s cousin, is the 25-year-old Brooklyn-bred, gum-chewing, take-no-prisoners, “get me the hell out of here” waitress at the Roadkill Diner who is trapped in the woods per the terms of her community service.
Lieutenant Anderson – A stuffed shirt type in his 50’s, Lt. Anderson longs for the good old days of Yellowstone, where he says “real rangers” work. He’s the perpetually annoyed, never-seen boss of the bumbling rangers Seth and Rusty.
