Who is editing and/or proofreading my work?
Matthew W. Grant graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Education and Mass Communications from Rhode Island College in 1993. Matthew has experience as a teacher and an adult education instructor. He is a writer and a consultant. Visit his website at www.MatthewGrantOnline.com.
Molly Heermans is an Ivy League graduate of Cornell University where she earned a B.S. in Animal Sciences in 2004. She was the editor of her high school newspaper and now works in corporate America.
What’s the editing and proofreading process?
You mentioned that the first editor writes on the pages of my paper? Can I get a copy of those pages after the fact?
Yes, we can scan these and e-mail them to you along with the edited version of your paper. This is an option on the purchase page. We charge a fee for this optional service to cover the additional time it takes us to process these requests. Also, we have to write more slowly and neatly if we know someone else will need to read the notes later!
If you choose this option, we will also evaluate your paper and add “instructor-type” annotations throughout. We’ll comment on the particulars of the paper and provide an overall evaluation of your writing strengths and weaknesses along with suggestions for improvements.
Please note that the bulk of the final corrections will be shown on the printed pages, but not necessarily all of the corrections. As explained in the processes section above, the printed pages are used as a guide to edit electronically at which time additional edits may be made online. Also, if the final editor makes changes in the document, these will not appear on the printed pages either.
Will my paper be perfect? Can
you guarantee a specific grade?
Only God can make a tree. We can determine if you spelled “deciduous” correctly. The rest of the world is open to interpretation in reference to perfection, grammatical and otherwise. We will avoid introducing (or rephrase yours if necessary) sentences or phrases that we think could be interpreted grammatically in different ways.
Professors and teachers can be fickle from day to day and from paper to paper when it comes to grading. Therefore, we can’t guarantee a particular grade or even a certain evaluator's concept of perfection, but we can guarantee that your paper will be improved by our services. Check out the samples to see how we were able to improve the raw material. Also, read the testimonials from satisfied customers.
Remember, you should always proofread the document when we return it to you. You will learn by comparing your original version to our edited version. While we enjoy helping you develop the potential in your writing, you are responsible for the final content and its quality. It’s your name on the document when it’s turned in. A+Editors and its editors disclaim all liability for loss, damage, or injury resulting from use of the edited material.
Do you write the title page
or bibliography/works cited page?
Our focus is on the content of your document. Every teacher/professor has his or her own rules (and some make them up as they go along) as to how a title page or a reference page should be formatted. We feel these pages are best left to you since you attend the class and can see the examples provided by the teacher/professor.
However, we’re still glad to look over these pages for you and will fix any obvious errors such as you misspelling “New York” in a book publisher’s information reference or hitting caps lock in the middle of your paper’s title.
There is no need to include the title page or bibliography/works cited page in your word count for payment purposes. We will look over these pages for free. Again, please be aware that we are merely providing this as an extra service. You are solely responsible for the format of these pages.
How do I know how many words are in my document? You can’t expect me to count them all, that would take forever.
Checking is easy; follow the steps below:
For documents under 500 words, the minimum charge applies. For documents over 500 words, use the word count as the quantity during secure checkout on the shopping cart page. Yes, we will check when we first get the document to make sure you counted correctly. We will inform you of any discrepancies. Please be careful as discrepancies may delay turnaround time.
Do not include the title page or the works cited page in your word count. As stated in the previous question, we will look over these pages for free.
Other services charge by the page, A+ Editors charges by the word. What’s that all about?
There is a wide range of prices out there. You must read carefully to see what level of service you’ll receive for your money. If you have read though our site, we’re confident you know what in-depth service we provide our customers.
We only charge .03 cents per word! The industry standard in publishing is that a page contains 250 words. (Publishing standards also dictate that a page is double-spaced and written in Courier New 12 font). So if you are trying to compare to another company that offers comprehensive services like we offer, here is a quick calculation:
$.03 x 250 words = $ 7.50 per page
We break it down to a per word charge for several reasons.
Do you do offer actual writing services as well?
Yes. (Please read the question below about term papers and schoolwork.) We can write just about anything you might need. See the list on the Editing & Proofreading page. If it's on that page (and it's non-academic), we can write it for you. If it is academic, we'll gladly proofread and edit it for you.

Both Molly and Matthew have written copy, proofread, and edited material for a catalog company with an annual circulation of one and a half million catalogs. (That's how they met!)
For pricing on writing services, please e-mail a description of your project to Info@APlusEditors.com. Include the information below, and we will get back to you with an estimate.
If
I send you a topic and the money, can you actually write my term paper
for me? I’ll even pay double!
We don’t write academic papers. That is unethical and inappropriate. We do proofread and edit your work, helping you say what you want to say in the best manner possible.
As stated in the question above, we do offer a full range of non-academic writing services.
What is proofreading and editing? What exactly are you looking for when you work on my document?
Wow, that seems impressive! Can you give me an example of each one of the above points?
Sure. See the Proofreading & Editing Examples page.
Can I
write a testimonial for your website?
Yes, we love to hear from happy customers. If you would like us to consider including your comments on future updates of the Testimonials page, please send an e-mail to Info@APlusEditors.com with the comments as well as permission to reproduce them. Don’t forget to indicate if you would like your name and/or location used and what variations thereof.
Also, please recommend our service to your
friends. They and their GPA's will thank you. There's
